In its purest form this type of 0% interest credit card is like having a personal loan, in that you can purchase items (depending on your credit limit) but unlike loans, as long as you pay off the items you have purchased on the card before the introductory offer expires then you wont have to pay a penny of interest. When you get to this point where you are paying interest, depending on the amount you are paying it may well be worth looking into getting a balance transfer card to avoid paying high interest charges.

Interest free purchase credit cards like this are great if you have little or no debt to begin with and if you need to buy a varying amount of items within a certain timescale and do not want the high interest rates that some store cards or existing credit cards charge.

We also advise that you look into how long you are required to be tied into the card and also the standard APR after the 0% interest free offer ends so that you do not get any nasty surprises.
